HYPERICUM OIL

St. John’s Wort, or Hypericum, belongs to the family of St. John’s Wort and is used as an antidepressant, sedative, and antibiotic.

Hypericum oil can be applied externally and internally, and it is especially suitable for women and the health of female organs. It contains antibacterial, antiviral, revitalizing, and antifungal properties. The composition of the oil includes flavonoids, hypericin, and tannins, which are excellent for the skin and have anti-inflammatory effects.

It is often used for burns but can even be used as a spice for Mediterranean fish dishes. Given that the macerate is made from St. John’s Wort, which is widely available, and olive oil is also easy to obtain, Hypericum oil can be made at home.

It is considered that Hypericum oil is a natural antidepressant, making it excellent for individuals struggling with depression and anxiety. It can also help with sleep issues or insomnia as it calms the mind and body. The effectiveness for these issues begins to be noticed after about two weeks of use, as the action is gradual. It will improve overall mood and reduce fatigue, exhaustion, and tiredness. It can also help achieve better concentration.

Hypericum oil for women’s problems is a well-known remedy. It is often used against fungi, and since it has a gentle effect, the primary users are women with vaginal problems. In women, it can be used by dipping a tampon in the oil and inserting it into the vagina. For successful treatment, this procedure should be repeated several times. Inflammation caused by HPV can also be addressed using Hypericum oil. This oil can be used by pregnant women since it is mild and soothing and will not harm the child if used as a massage oil against stretch marks or after childbirth for healing wounds. On the other hand, pregnant women should not drink St. John’s Wort tea. It will regulate hormone activity and help reduce menstrual pain. In some cultures, it is used to alleviate symptoms of premenstrual syndrome.

For better circulation, Hypericum oil is a real savior. In addition to improving blood flow to the skin, it will help with wound healing, epithelialization of the skin, and the disappearance of scars. It stimulates skin function and cleansing, making it effective against stretch marks and burns. Furthermore, it will also be effective for muscle and nerve inflammation. The oil can also be used against herpes due to its antiviral properties.

For skin care, Hypericum oil can be used almost every day and will be effective against acne, blackheads, and pimples while restoring a youthful appearance to the skin. This oil is beneficial for the skin and can be used on the scalp as well as for sensitive skin.

You may have come across the information that this oil is excellent for sunbathing or for faster tanning. It is not recommended to use it prior to sun exposure. Its properties will only attract the sun and may cause more burns than skin protection. Regardless, you can use Hypericum oil after sunbathing to revitalize the skin and maintain a longer tan.
